Inside Ludlow Castle with more than 180 local food and drink producers and suppliers: real food, ale, cider, perry, wine and more from the Marches, with samples and tastings.
The Marches Transport Festival boasts over 150 stunning pre 1985 vehicles displayed in the Outer Bailey of the grounds of the castle.
For the past 11 years we have had displays on both the Saturday and the Sunday due to the overwhelming demand from car owners to be part of this event.
We encourage clubs to take part and the decades of vehicles that are displayed are reported and photographed on by press from around the world. Tractors, small commercials and motorbikes are displayed at the front of the castle for people to enjoy as they approach the castle bringing the event into the town as well.
Up to 100 gleaming vintage and classic vehicles will take part in the Leominster to Ludlow run - on the Sunday only. Take a look at the list of participants here
We always welcome new entries into the event, so if you're pre-1985 and fancy a fantastic day out enjoying the stunning surrounds of Ludlow Castle then this really is the event for you.
60+ regional food and drink producers, free talks 'n tipples, kids activities and of course the 'festival pub' which will host over 200 real ales & Live music throughout the weekend
Ludlow Spring Festival and the Marches Transport Festival have come together under the organisation of Ludlow Food Festival who are a 'Not For Profit Organisation' working to promote and support the independent food and drink culture and businesses across Ludlow and the Welsh Marches and contributing to both regional and local economy in an inclusive and sustainable manner. Having the Spring Festival as part of the event means that visitors get to see over 150 classic cars, 60+ local food and drink producers, free talks and tipples, kids activities and of course the infamous SIBA beer tent which will host over 200 real ales in 2020 - certainly an event not to be missed!
Our thanks go to the Earl of Powis and Powis Estate for allowing us the continued use of Ludlow Castle and also to the Ludlow Marches Food & Drink Festival for taking us under their wing so we can continue to run the displays for many years to come.
We are always looking for people to join our committee or to come along and help stewarding over the weekend. If you feel you would like to join our team please contact us either by email or phone.
